Job Title

We are seeking a seasoned leader to manage our business services team. As the Business Services Team Manager, you will oversee the efficient and effective operation of travel, logistics, event, scheduling, expense policy, and administration teams across the organization.

This role requires outstanding coordination, planning, decision-making, budgeting, procurement, reporting, and management skills. You will lead a team responsible for coordinating large-scale company events involving travel for hundreds of people from 80+ countries.

The team also serves as an independent check on expense claim approval, ensuring fairness and consistency across teams and countries. This role has a direct impact on every team at Canonical, making it essential that the team participates in every company event, from planning and venue selection stages to scheduling, operations, and safety reviews.

Requirements

  • Exceptional academic track record from high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical or business subject
  • Drive, leadership, and management skills
  • Demonstrable good judgment in matters involving money, policy, and in-person interactions
  • Ability to work in a global, multicultural organization
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, curiosity, flexibility, responsibility, accountability, thoughtfulness, and self-awareness
