In this role as a Senior Research Engineering Lead, you will:

Provide Leadership: Offer technical guidance by collaborating with fellow engineers to enhance methodologies and advance the technology framework.

Create Scalable Machine Learning Solutions: Design extensive data processing pipelines to assist researchers in developing and training innovative machine learning models. You will be responsible for building high-performing systems suitable for large-scale online environments.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential skills & experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering, particularly in machine learning and natural language processing.
- Proven experience in leading technical initiatives within a software engineering context.
- Experience in managing team dynamics and performance.
- Proficient in Python development frameworks, with knowledge of additional programming languages being advantageous.
- Ability to comprehend, implement, and integrate machine learning techniques into existing systems.
- Familiarity with the Python data science ecosystem, including libraries such as Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Dask, spaCy, NLTK, and scikit-learn.
- Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Expertise in automation, system monitoring, and cloud-native applications, with experience in AWS or Azure.
- Strong analytical and design skills, with a focus on DevOps and automation principles.
- Experience in agile methodologies.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to emerging technologies.
- Understanding of probabilistic models and the mathematical foundations of machine learning.

Preferred skills & experience:
- Experience in integrating machine learning solutions into production systems, with a solid grasp of ModelOps and MLOps principles.
- Familiarity with Natural Language Processing (NLP) challenges and key tasks such as Named Entity Recognition (NER) and Information Extraction.
- Hands-on experience with various programming and scripting languages (Java, TypeScript, JavaScript, etc.).
