Job Description

This role is responsible for overseeing tax compliance across designated legal entities in Brazil. The Tax Compliance Manager will ensure timely and accurate preparation, review, and submission of tax returns.

The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, be able to work independently, and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance & Reporting:
    • Prepare, review, and file federal and municipal tax returns (IRPJ, CSLL, PIS, Cofins, ISS, Retidos etc.)
    • Manage tax returns obligations
    • Ensure accurate tax accounting and reconciliations in accordance with Brazilian GAAP and company policies
    • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess their impact on the business
  • Tax Risk Management:
    • Support tax audits by tax authorities
    • Manage and mitigate tax risks, ensuring proper documentation and compliance, when applicable
    • Maintain robust internal controls over tax processes
  • Advisory & Business Partnering:
    • Align with the tax planning area to support tax planning and optimization initiatives in line with compliance requirements
    • Liaise with external tax advisors, auditors, and legal counsel when needed
  • Process Improvement & Systems:
    • Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and digital solutions to increase efficiency and accuracy
    • Ensure proper use and updates of ERP and tax solution
  • Team Leadership:
    • Manage tax analysts
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and compliance excellence
