Commercial Property Underwriter Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Property Underwriter to join our team. As a key member of our underwriting team, you will play a crucial role in helping customers manage risk and achieve their business goals.

The ideal candidate will have experience underwriting property lines in the middle market or large account segments, as well as experience working with loss control engineering data in a property underwriting context.

You will be responsible for developing key broker relationships, attracting new business, and working closely with engineering teams and across the organization to develop and deliver tailored solutions.

  • Works closely with engineering teams and across the organization to develop and deliver tailored solutions
  • Communicates and collaborates across the organization to provide solutions/recommendations to achieve organizational success
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess strong analytical, decision-making and marketing skills, as well as excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent required
  • Experience underwriting property lines in the middle market or large account segments
  • Experience working with loss control engineering data in a property underwriting context
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines, as well as in a team to accomplish goals
  • Excellent communication, organization, negotiating and leadership skills
