We are seeking an experienced Database Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Oracle Database administration and engineering in enterprise environments.

  • The selected professional will be responsible for designing and implementing Oracle database solutions in cloud environments, as well as administering and optimizing Oracle databases running on Linux.
  • They will also develop and maintain database automation scripts and utilities using PL/SQL, Python, and shell scripting.

A strong understanding of database security, backup/recovery, and high availability architectures is essential for this role. Additionally, proficiency in multiple programming languages, including PL/SQL, Python, and shell scripting, is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement Oracle database solutions in cloud environments.
  • Administer and optimize Oracle databases running on Linux.
  • Develop and maintain database automation scripts and utilities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align database architecture with application and infrastructure strategies.
  • Define and enforce database standards, policies, and best practices.
  • Monitor and tune database performance, manage capacity planning, and implement proactive maintenance strategies.
Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, the following skills and qualifications are necessary:

  • Extensive experience with Oracle Database administration and engineering in enterprise environments.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux and related system administration tasks.
  • Proficiency in PL/SQL, Python, and scripting for automation and data processing.
  • Solid understanding of database security, backup/recovery, and high availability architectures.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; Oracle certifications preferred.
  • Advanced English proficiency (written and verbal).
