Technical Support Specialist for Shopify

You will be working on providing first-level technical support to customers using Shopify. You will troubleshoot critical issues, analyze incidents, and document resolutions for continuous improvement.

In this role, you will also engage with product management and business partners on system capability, design, and solutions. Additionally, you will work with development teams to ensure technical requirements are met, and contribute to the development of key system components.

  • Responsibilities:

    • - Provide technical support to customers using Shopify

    • - Troubleshoot critical issues and escalate as needed

    • - Analyze incidents, conduct postmortems, and document resolutions

    • - Engage with product management and business partners on system capability, design, and solutions

    • - Work with development teams to ensure technical requirements are met

    • - Contribute to the development of key system components

    • - Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and technical validation of updates

Requirements:

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Must-Haves:

    • - 5+ years of experience in Shopify development, including knowledge of Shopify Plus

    • - Solid understanding of Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and methodologies

    • - Flexibility to work rotating schedules, including weekends and holidays

    • - Experience troubleshooting site issues using various tools

    • - Strong problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail

    • - Experience with page performance optimization and secure development practices

    • - Knowledge of front-end caching, CDNs, and request-response flow

    • - Familiarity with ticketing systems like Jira

    • - Strong verbal and written communication skills

    • - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team

    • - Patience, empathy, and customer-first mindset

    • - Continuous learning mindset and adaptability to new technologies and procedures

    • - Upper-Intermediate English level

Nice-to-Haves:

  • - Previous experience in customer service or technical support

  • - Salesforce Cloud experience

  • - Proficiency in core JavaScript and front-end frameworks
