We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing monthly closing activities, including analysis of accounts, preparation of journal entries, and maintaining depreciation and amortization schedules.
Key responsibilities include:
- Performing monthly financial reports (financial statements, aging report) and supporting analytics for management.
- Providing management with financial data and forecasting vital to the decision-making process.
- Working directly with external auditors for annual financial statement audits.
- Evaluating, developing, and improving department controls, systems, and procedures that increase accuracy and efficiency.
- Developing staff by managing performance, setting goals, and providing ongoing training.
Requirements for this role include:
- 8+ years of accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Thorough understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including strong Word, Outlook, and Excel skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and work under strict deadlines with speed and accuracy.
