Solid Waste Supervisor

Job Summary:

This role oversees solid-waste barn operations and ensures compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee workflow of the department at the solid-waste barn.
  2. Organize and maintain the solid-waste barn, adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  3. Manage and update the Solid Waste Tracking spreadsheet, ensuring data accuracy and quality control.
  4. Coordinate daily tasks with the Waste Stream Coordinator as needed.
  5. Ensure employees are properly trained and familiar with established protocols for solid-waste barn activities.
  6. Participate in Spill Team and be on call for one week out of every four, twenty-four hours a day.
  7. Operate various equipment such as articulating loaders, graders, fork-lifts, tracked agricultural tractors, dump-trucks, excavators, etc. in a safe and technically proficient manner.
  8. Conduct daily equipment checks to ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in safe operating condition.
  9. Maintain compliance with Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance requirements.
  10. Perform physical activities including heavy lifting, climbing, crawling, working outdoors in extreme cold, and walking long distances daily.
  11. Accurately record time worked and equipment hours used daily in Maximo.
  12. Perform other duties as required.
