Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced People Tools Specialist to enhance our expanding People Technology Team. This pivotal role focuses on the management and optimization of our People Tools technology stack. You will oversee the performance and upkeep of our People systems while driving process efficiencies and solutions. We require a systems expert who is enthusiastic about technology and data, dedicated to delivering exceptional service, and capable of thinking comprehensively across various People functions.

With a customer-centric approach, you will collaborate closely with our People Technology Lead to design, implement, and maintain all People Systems across Wise.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify areas for development and deliver technical solutions using People systems and technology.
  • Support HR System upgrades and enhancements, including prioritization, functional design, documentation, testing, training, implementation, and support model design.
  • Work with functional leaders and subject matter experts in the People team to design, develop, and implement technology solutions that enhance operational efficiency, ensure compliance, and improve the experience for candidates, employees, managers, and business leaders.
  • Analyze business processes to ensure optimal utilization of system features and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Create both basic and advanced custom reports and manage data extraction requests.
  • Provide guidance and training to the People team on best practices for utilizing People tools.
  • Deliver an outstanding customer experience by troubleshooting complex issues and resolving errors promptly.
  • Document and maintain security requirements and policies for user access to People applications.
  • Manage support inquiries from stakeholders through our ticketing system.

Qualifications:

  • Over 7 years of experience with People systems, including at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM, Payroll, and Absence.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively engage with diverse functional stakeholders at all levels of a global organization.
  • Relevant certifications in Workday HCM, Workday Payroll, and Absence.
  • Solid background in HRIS (Workday) configuration, administration, and core HCM.
  • Familiarity with other People tools such as Peakon, Absorb Learning, Smart Recruiters, Cronofy, and Visier.
  • Practical experience with Workday technologies, including Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB), Advanced Report Writer, Business Process Framework, Cloud Connect, Configurable Security, Calculated Fields, Custom Fields, XML/XSLT, Studio, BIRT Reporting, and data analytics.
  • Experience with Workday Extend, including Orchestration and PMD scripting.
  • Proven track record in end-to-end system implementation.
  • Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while managing a diverse workload.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills across teams.
  • High accuracy in processing large and critical data sets.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with a focus on meeting deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of simplifying technical information for diverse audiences.
  • Commitment to security and confidentiality.
