Site Permit Coordinator

The role of the Site Permit Coordinator involves overseeing and managing the permit to work system on-site. This entails ensuring that risk assessments are attached and validated for each issued permit.
The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, approving, and issuing work permits for high-risk activities such as hot work, confined space entry, working at height, electrical work, excavations, and heavy lifting.
Key Responsibilities:- Supervise and manage the permit to work system, promoting a culture of safety and risk awareness.
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure clear communication about activity risks and develop strategies to mitigate potential hazards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to verify adherence to conditions outlined in the permits.
- Perform internal audits of the permit system to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
- Participate in daily safety meetings and contribute to task planning discussions.
- A minimum high school diploma is required; a technical degree in Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related fields is preferred.
- PTW Coordinator training is essential, which can be obtained through an internal company program or third-party courses.
- Relevant certifications, such as NR-10, NR-33, and NR-35 (for Brazil-based roles), or OSHA Standards (for international or U.S.-based projects), may be advantageous.
