Job Title: Visionary Environment Art Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative environment art lead to join our team.

This role will involve leading and collaborating with multidisciplinary artists to create and maintain the Environment vision for the game.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Environment Art processes for games, architecture, and integration of natural and manmade environments.

Responsibilities:
  1. Lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary artists to create and maintain the Environment vision for the game.
  2. Balance technical capability, creative thinking, and leadership skills to develop high-quality content for POIs, Biomes, and prop sets.
  3. Work closely with the Environment Art Director to maintain artistic direction, conduct reviews, provide feedback, and collaborate with Design Leads.
  4. Represent the Art Director in meetings and discussions as necessary.
  5. Develop and lead a group of Environment Artists and Level Designers, identifying great ideas and steering them through the production pipeline.
  6. Implement high-level goals of Environment Art Direction, guiding artists and implementation toward shipping.
  7. Ensure core narrative goals and visual pillars of the game are achieved.
  8. Deliver constant feedback to a fast-moving team in conjunction with the Art Director.
Requirements:
  1. Possess passion, collaboration, innovation, and solutions-based skills, with humility and low ego.
  2. Have a strong understanding of Environment Art processes for games, architecture, and integration of natural and manmade environments.
  3. Be proficient in Unreal Engine and various DCC tools, including 3D packages, Substance Designer and Painter, Zbrush.
  4. Experience working with internal concept and development teams, local or remote, with ability to receive, deliver, and implement clear feedback.
  5. Deep understanding of what makes for an engaging player experience, with bonus points for shipped games on multiple platforms.
  6. Strong knowledge of performance and optimization, with smart approaches to maximizing asset reuse.
  7. Excellent organizational skills, with experience working with Production to scope tasks.
