Epic is seeking an Environment Art Lead to collaborate with multidisciplinary artists on projects under the Fortnite IP.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and work with teams to develop and maintain the environment vision for the game.
- Oversee artistic direction, conducting reviews, providing feedback, and collaborating with Design Leads.
- Work closely with the Environment Art Director to ensure the core narrative goals and visual pillars are being achieved.
- Strong understanding of Environment Art processes for games and architecture.
- Experience working with internal concept and development teams, whether local, remote, or vendors.
- Deep understanding of what makes for an engaging player experience.
- Understanding of performance optimization and smart approaches to maximizing asset reuse.
- Deep knowledge of technical aspects of game art creation, including art fundamentals, lighting, composition, art styles, and color theory.
The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader who can effectively communicate their vision and motivate team members. Strong problem-solving skills, adaptability, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential for this role.
