Global Import Specialist

The role of Global Import Specialist involves overseeing a diverse range of import operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective shipment management. Key responsibilities include monitoring daily import status updates, conducting regular analysis of freight forwarder performance, and identifying potential issues that may impact business continuity.

  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure accurate shipping schedules
  • Analyze lead times and transit times for import shipments
  • Compile reports on departmental performance metrics
  • Develop strategies to reduce costs and optimize supply chain efficiency
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in International Trade or relevant experience in global logistics
  • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and negotiation skills
  • Familiarity with HTS classification systems
  • Knowledge of special trade regimes (e.g., ex-tariff, automotive regime, drawback, temporary export/import)
  • Advanced English language proficiency
  • Spanish language proficiency (desired)
