Warehouse Operations Manager Job Description

The primary responsibility of the Warehouse Operations Manager is to oversee and coordinate all warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, picking, packing, shipping of goods and production line management.

  • Lead and supervise a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure optimal productivity and efficiency.
  • Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among team members to achieve common goals.
  • Oversee the receiving, storing, and organizing of incoming inventory and materials, ensuring accurate tracking and recording of transactions.
  • Coordinate order picking, packing, and shipping activities to fulfill customer orders accurately and on time, meeting organizational goals and customer demands.
  • Establish and enforce warehouse procedures, safety guidelines, and best practices to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and operation of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and conveyor systems, to minimize downtime and optimize productivity.
Responsibilities
  • Manage warehouse operations to meet customer demand and organizational goals, including inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping logistics.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, transactions, and warehouse activities, using data analysis to inform business decisions.
  • Generate reports on key performance metrics, such as order accuracy, on-time delivery, and inventory turnover, to track progress and identify areas for improvement.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team. Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

The Warehouse Operations Manager works closely with stockman, logistics teams, and production assembly lines to maintain the smooth flow of materials and products through the warehouse facility.
