Job Title: Project Surveyor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Surveyor to join our team at Acteon Group Ltd. The successful candidate will provide technical survey expertise while assisting Project Managers to achieve safe and profitable execution of assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in project execution and be responsible for identification, documentation, and action on contractual variations as they arise.
  2. Contribute to project risk assessments prior to mobilization.
  3. Confirm and accept transfer of project material generated during the bid stage to project teams.
  4. Assist in project execution and be responsible for identification, documentation, and action on contractual variations as they arise.
  5. Source project equipment both internally and externally for project execution.
  6. Identify and mitigate potential technical, commercial, QHSE risks for assigned projects.
  7. Administer and assist with specific project tasks.
  8. Review survey specifications in contract and project documentation.
  9. Provide input to the preparation of commercial and technical proposals as required.
  10. Compile project specific survey procedures in line with the Company's operating procedures.
  11. Work with other disciplines within the Company to ensure high quality technical content for commercial and project support.
  12. Provide technical support to offshore teams as and when required.
  13. QC and issue of final reports in line with agreed timescales.
  14. Completion of project risk assessments prior to mobilization.
  15. Participate in quality control of final deliverables to client.
  16. Liaise with internal logistics personnel to coordinate offshore staff and equipment mobilization.
  17. Conduct site and client visits as required.
  18. Utilize the appropriate procedures, work instructions, and forms within the IMS to properly facilitate compliance with Company standards.
  19. Provide technical input to bidding process as required.
  20. Monitor project costs (3rd party and internal) against revenue on a daily basis, and provide weekly and monthly tracking reports of estimated revenues and costs.
  21. Liaise with Cost Controller to ensure timely and accurate tracking of financials.
  22. Create/Approve supplier Purchase Orders and invoices (within your authority and responsibility) for procurement within the timeframe required for the accounting department to process and report at regional monthly P&L meeting.
  23. Support project briefings and close out review meetings with field staff.
  24. Promotion of the MTCS program and UTEC IMS.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  2. Offshore survey industry experience as a Senior Surveyor and/or Party Chief required.
  3. Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others.
  4. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is essential.
  5. Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
  6. Ability to competently and professionally present project materials in client meetings, as well as identify and mitigate client concerns.
  7. Ability to work both independently and within teams.
  8. Must hold a valid passport free from status or restrictive conditions that preclude travel to and work in countries where the Company routinely operates.
