Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Financial Specialist to join our team in Brazil. As a key partner to the Senior Finance Manager, this role involves taking ownership of day-to-day accounting operations and contributing to local compliance and global reporting.

The ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in accounting roles, preferably in the financial services or fintech sectors. They will possess strong knowledge of IFRS standards and experience with corporate income tax (IRPJ/CSLL).

Responsibilities include preparing monthly closing processes, ensuring timely completion of financial close and reporting activities, leading communication with outsourcing accounting firms, and executing AP and accounts payable.

The selected candidate will also manage the issuance of electronic invoices, support the implementation and maintenance of strong internal controls over financial reporting, and collaborate with international teams across different time zones.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ownership mentality
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and dynamic dashboards
  • Experience with Power Query is a plus
  • Knowledge of indirect tax (VAT) is a plus
