Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Property Facultative business in Brazil. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic underwriting plan, driving origination of profitable business, and maintaining underwriting quality.

About the Role:

  • Develop and execute a strategic underwriting plan for the Brazilian and South Cone markets.
  • Drive origination of profitable business while maintaining underwriting quality and preserving portfolio value.
  • Lead and empower the local team, promoting professional development and collaboration across business units.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.

Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of experience in Property and Casualty re/insurance underwriting, including excellent understanding of the Brazilian and South Cone markets, products, and trends.
  • Knowledge of the Brazilian insurance regulatory environment.
  • Track record as a successful sales leader and dealmaker in originating new business.
  • Management skills in developing people, being a motivational mentor who can unlock potential in others.
  • Fluency in Portuguese, Spanish, and English, additional languages appreciated.
