You will play a crucial role as Windfarm Control Specialist, working directly under the guidance of the Windfarm Commissioning Lead. This position demands strong technical knowledge and excellent communication skills to ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities- Global commissioning of Nordex group wind farm controllers (CWE & SGCS) mostly remotely
- Commissioning of wind farm controllers, controller interfaces, and preparation of grid code testing
- Maintaining regular contact with clients' experts to discuss project-specific requirements, testing, and solutions
- Gaining experience in running and closing wind farm controller projects
- Supporting negotiations with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers
- Collaborating with department leads to improve processes within the Windfarm Control Operations department
The successful candidate will have a university degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with broad knowledge of wind farm control tools and processes. Technical expertise in Modbus TCP, IEC 60870-5-101, IEC 60870-5-104, OPC UA, DNP3, and Grid operator interfaces is essential. Familiarity with root cause analysis tools like Wireshark, Grid Code Testing, PCMS - Parameter Configuration and Management System, and Certificate to act as an electrically skilled person is valuable. Knowledge about wind turbine technologies is beneficial. The ideal candidate should be self-responsible, structured, and solution-oriented, with very good communication skills and strong planning- and organizational skills. Fluency in English; Spanish and other languages are an added value. Intercultural understanding, ability to work productively in multitask teams, and team player attitude are also required. Willingness to go on business trips is necessary.
