Windfarm Controller


Job Description:
  • We are seeking a skilled Windfarm Controller to join our team. As a Windfarm Controller, you will be responsible for commissioning wind farm controllers, ensuring smooth operation and resolving any technical issues that may arise.
  • Your primary goal will be to ensure the successful commissioning of wind farm controllers, primarily working remotely. You will work closely with clients' experts to understand project-specific requirements, testing, and solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Commissioning of wind farm controllers, including preparation of grid code testing
  • Regular contact and communication with clients' experts to elaborate project-specific requirements, testing, and solutions
  • Gain experience of running and closing windfarm controller projects
  • Support of negotiations with customers, subcontractors, and suppliers
  • Testing and improving processes within the Windfarm Control Operations department together with the department leads

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Technology, Electronics, IT, telecommunications, or other equivalent technical education
  • Broad knowledge of wind farm controller tools and processes
  • Modbus TCP, IEC 61850, OPC UA, DNP3, Grid operator interfaces, and customer interfaces like Modbus TCP, IEC 61850, OPC UA, DNP3, Grid Code Testing, Root cause analyses tools like Wireshark, PCMS - Parameter Configuration and Management System
  • Certificate to act as an electrically skilled person is valuable
  • Knowledge about wind turbine technologies is beneficial
  • Self-responsible, structured, and solution-oriented working
  • Very good communication skills, strong planning- and organizational skills
  • Fluency in English; Spanish and other languages are an added value
  • Intercultural understanding, ability to work productively in multitask teams, and team player attitude
  • Willingness to go on business trips
