The Accounts Payable Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring seamless payment processes. This includes making payments to vendors, properties, and customers with utmost accuracy and within the stipulated timeframe. The candidate must possess an understanding of VAT recording and demonstrate proficiency in invoice analysis and processing.
Key Responsibilities- Process payments to various stakeholders, including vendors, affiliates, outsource service providers, properties, and customers.
- Post invoices, manage banking operations, and follow up on P2P processes.
- Ensure timely completion of payments and maintain accurate reconciliation records.
- Assist with month-end closing processes, adhering to US GAAP and Sox framework guidelines.
- Proactively collaborate with key stakeholders to align processes and share knowledge and best practices.
- Identify and implement process improvements directly impacting daily activities.
- Support team projects for process innovation and improvement, testing and implementing new tools and software.
- Relevant experience in AP, AR, Credit Control, Purchase, OM, Accounting, Treasury, or Administration (2-3 years).
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or relevant field.
- Proficient in both spoken and written English.
- Spoken and written Spanish is a plus.
- Strong computer skills.
- Experience working with integrated systems (SAP, Ivalua, or others).
