Job Title: Data Storage Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled professional to assume responsibility for the performance, integrity, security, and availability of databases within our organization. This role entails both strategic and operational duties, including efficient data storage, access reliability, and protection against data loss or unauthorized access.

The ideal candidate will collaborate closely with infrastructure teams to uphold current standards, implement robust backup and recovery policies, and perform database tuning and performance monitoring to support business continuity and system optimization.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Experience mainly in SQL-Server
  • Installation and maintenance of database servers
  • High Availability (HA) scenarios, including AON replication
  • Database security, backup, and recovery, as well as performance monitoring standards
  • Process development for optimizing database security
  • Maintenance of database standards
  • Management of database access
  • Performance tuning of database systems
  • Installation, upgrade, and management of database applications
  • Error diagnosis and troubleshooting
  • Triage of reported issues to accurately identify, escalate, and respond to urgent or critical matters
  • Root cause analysis of outages and preparation of plans for permanent changes
  • Recommendation and implementation of emerging database technologies
  • Creation and management of database reports, visualizations, and dashboards
  • Automation of repeating database tasks
  • Collaboration with the Global N4 Migration Team on all N4 upgrades
  • Documentation of implementation and deployment plans
