Project Facilitator Role

We are seeking a skilled and passionate individual to take on the role of Project Facilitator. In this position, you will play a crucial part in empowering learners to pursue their interests and develop impactful projects.

Fostering Autonomy and Collaboration
  • Mentor multiple groups of learners in designing and implementing innovative projects that make a real difference.
  • Support learners in identifying their passions and facilitating project journeys, providing guidance and resources as needed.
  • Promote the development of essential skills such as critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving through collaborative methodologies.
Skill Development and Coaching
  • Coach learners on time management, goal setting, agile methodologies, and effective communication strategies to ensure project success.
  • Facilitate the development of key skills such as collaboration, organization, and adaptability through project-based learning experiences.
  • Empower learners to confidently pitch their projects to diverse audiences, showcasing their growth and achievements.
Progress Monitoring and Reporting
  • Regularly monitor project progress, provide constructive feedback, and present progress reports to stakeholders.
  • Reassess learner needs based on progress, offering personalized support and adjusting plans as necessary.
  • Systematically document project plans, outcomes, and learning to ensure visibility and recognition of achievements.
Collaboration and Community Engagement
  • Work closely with educators and specialists to integrate projects into the broader curriculum, promoting cross-disciplinary connections.
  • Maintain open communication with families to align expectations, share progress, and foster a supportive learning community.
  • Identify and connect learners to external partners, such as guest speakers and industry experts, to enrich project development and provide real-world insights.
Reflection and Learning Documentation
  • Encourage learners to reflect on their growth, assess their progress, and identify areas for improvement through regular feedback and coaching.
  • Co-create project portfolios that showcase learners' processes, skills, and tangible outcomes, highlighting their accomplishments and growth.
  • Ensure learning is made visible through the organization of thinking using various tools and routines, promoting metacognition and self-directed learning.

The ideal candidate will have experience with project-based learning, active learning methodologies, and design thinking. They will be passionate about working with children and teenagers from diverse backgrounds and abilities, and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
