About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Outside Sales Representative to join our team at American President Lines. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of key customers and developing strategic relationships to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a specific portfolio of key customers, responsible for the major volume and revenue for the company, with an average TEUS/R$30 M contribution margin.
  • Create synergy with all internal departments, coordinating and participating in internal improvements, focusing on customer care and cost reductions.
  • Conduct market research studies, including national and global scenarios, customer production lines, and logistics workflows, to provide market analysis and identify new opportunities, products, and customers.
  • Identify clients' business strategies and objectives, logistics and transportation needs, and buying criteria to develop and articulate value-based solutions to address their needs and wants.
  • Research and analyze market conditions, including cabotage and market trends, to inform business decisions.
  • Prospect new key customers, following the same profile, with a minimum of 2000 TEUs per year.
  • Control BID Agreements and Negotiation among all departments.
  • Visit and develop working relationships with key personnel of designated corporate entities, making corporate presentations on products and logistical solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to provide first-class service and increase customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Maintain systems and presentations updated, including CRM and PPT.
  • Provide weekly forecasts regarding equipment and trucking fleet.
  • Continuously develop product and market knowledge and selling skills.
Customer Relationship
  • Regular visits to customer's plants/factories in Brazil.
  • Closely follow up the portfolio managed, maintaining a good relationship with customers through regular visits and phone calls.
  • Plan and conduct commercial visits according to the commercial action plan and produce visit reports along with customer follow-up.
  • Ensure follow-up on customers' portfolio payment and contribute to recover unpaid debt identified as a priority by the finance department.
  • Manage communication on service failures.
  • Analyze and take actions on customer performance statistics and provide alternatives to achieve budget.
  • Assist the finance team in solving disputes, whenever required.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Administration, Business Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or International Trade.
  • IT and System Requirements: Windows package (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word); CRM.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required (reading, writing, and speaking).
  • Experience: Minimum 03 years' experience in Logistics or Supply Chain.
