Air Freight Product Development Manager

The ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for driving business development and operational excellence in the Airfreight product. Key aspects of this position include translating business strategy into product strategy, managing rate procurement and carrier relationships, executing product strategies, and owning the product roadmap.
This individual will work closely with operations teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources.
- Gaining a deep understanding of customer experience, identifying and filling product gaps, and generating new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience, and drive growth are key responsibilities
- Managing product profitability and commercial success by owning the business case is also essential
To be successful in this role, you will need advanced English skills, 10 years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics, ideally with a focus on airfreight, strong communication and commercial skills, leadership skills to build-up, develop, motivate, and manage a business unit and team, and IATA certifications are a plus.
Key Responsibilities:- Determine strategic direction for the Airfreight product
- Maintain relationships with carriers to ensure timely and efficient transportation services
- Develop and implement product strategies to increase revenue and reduce costs
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives
- Advanced English language proficiency
- At least 10 years of experience in freight forwarding/logistics
- Familiarity with airfreight industry
- Strong communication and commercial skills
- Leadership skills to manage a business unit and team
- IATA certification (optional)
