Job Description

As a Ships Agency Administrator, you will be responsible for overseeing cargo documentation processes. This role involves ensuring the safe loading and unloading of cargo by facilitating vessel berthing.

Key responsibilities include receipt and cross-checking of cargo documentation, preparing export Bills of Lading, and providing information regarding cargo arrival to the Consignee and Shipper.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for timely issuance and release of Bills of Lading, guaranteeing vessel berthing. Additionally, they will input cargo information into Customs and Company systems and declare shipments in Portal Único.

Monitoring compliance with local port authorities' requirements and maintaining organized documentation files are essential aspects of this role. Furthermore, the candidate will support the finance team by providing controls for invoicing and tracking charges.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Knowledge of Siscomex, Mercante, PSP, and Portal Único
  • Understanding of Customs and Foreign Trade regulations/laws
  • Strong communication skills in English (both written and oral)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage workloads
  • Willingness to travel as needed
