Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the trading desk, ensuring all trading transactions and exposures are represented accordingly in Shell's systems, adhering to Shell's Business Principles, market Regulations, and contributing to a culture of Compliance.

As a Trading Desk Analyst, you will be responsible for the following duties:

  • Ensuring all trading transactions are in accordance with pre-established risk parameters
  • Collaboration with gas and power trading, operations, and sales/origination teams
  • Contributing to alignment with Shell Energy Brazil and Shell Energy Americas' overall goals and strategies
  • Interacting with other support functions in the organization such as Finance, Credit, Legal, Compliance, and Market Risk
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have legal authorization to work in {location}, Brazil on a full-time basis, a Bachelor's degree in Math, Engineering, Economics, Business, Finance, or related field, and minimum one (1) year of experience with market risk at a trading business, banking, or in any work-related field.

  • Fluency in both Portuguese and English
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, understanding of financial modeling
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Respect for colleagues, and the ability to work as a part of a team in a fast-paced dynamic environment
