As a Hardware Development Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and improving our IoT devices. Your role will involve every step of the development process, from PCB design to case design, validations, and certifications. Our goal is to build trustworthy products that can be produced at a mass scale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of hardware design projects, including conceptualization, schematic capture, component selection, and PCB layout.
- Develop innovative and efficient hardware solutions that meet project requirements and specifications, adhering to industry standards such as IEC 60079 (IECEx) and IEC 61010 (Electrical Safety).
- Define and execute test plans to verify the performance, reliability, and compatibility of hardware designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as software engineering, firmware engineering, and product management, to ensure seamless integration and interoperability of hardware components.
- Troubleshoot hardware-related issues by investigating and diagnosing problems, identifying root causes, and recommending appropriate solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware engineering and electronics.
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools such as KiCAD and Altium Designer.
- Experience utilizing laboratory equipment and tools for hardware testing, analysis, and troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical information effectively.
