Located within the School of Rehabilitation Sciences, this tenure-track position offers a unique opportunity to lead the development of a cutting-edge Doctor of Science in Health Sciences program. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing curriculum, courses, and overall program structure in consultation with key stakeholders. With a focus on online learning, this role presents an exciting opportunity for someone to shape the future of health sciences education.
About the RoleThis is a twelve-month, open-rank position that involves teaching, research, and service. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in health-related fields, with a minimum of six years of full-time teaching/administrative experience in higher education. They should also have evidence of successful online or hybrid teaching experience with adult learners at the university level.
A PhD, EdD, or DSc in a relevant field is preferred, but post-professional clinical doctorates will be considered. The successful candidate will be expected to develop and teach courses within the program, as well as participate in scholarly activities, mentorship, and service to the university and profession.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development:
- Design and implement curriculum, courses, and overall program structure in consultation with key stakeholders.
- Develop and teach courses within the program.
- Faculty Engagement:
- Participate in scholarly activities, mentorship, and service to the university and profession.
- Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to promote interdisciplinary initiatives and shared resources.
The School of Rehabilitation Sciences houses undergraduate and graduate programs in various health-related fields, including occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech-language pathology, and athletic training. Qualifications- Earned research doctorate (PhD, EdD, or DSc) in a health-related field preferred.
- Minimum of six years of full-time teaching/administrative experience in higher education.
- Evidence of successful online or hybrid teaching experience with adult learners at the university level.
- Evidence of curriculum development.
- Evidence of successful scholarship and a sustained scholarly agenda.
