Accounting Leadership Opportunity

A dynamic company is seeking an experienced accounting professional to oversee the monthly financial close, implement internal controls, and support compliance for a Latin American entity. The ideal candidate will have strong technical knowledge of US GAAP and local statutory requirements, as well as experience with IT systems and enterprise resource planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the monthly financial close, including reporting and contract reviews to support revenue recognition.
  • Support the compliance team with strategy, compliance, and other reporting requirements linked to taxes and other regulatory obligations.
  • Reconcile GAAP to STAT differences on a quarterly basis.
  • Leverage the corporate accounting team to support documentation of accounting policies and account reconciliations.
  • Partner with commercial, operations, and finance teams to establish best practices over pre-contract reviews and planning to support fulfillment and strategic initiatives.
  • Subject matter expert to support strategic decision-making as part of the accounting systems and ERP setups.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA or Chartered Accountant preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive audit and/or accounting experience in Latin America.
  • Proven experience working in multi-national public companies, supporting financial processes.
  • Strong understanding of local GAAP, transfer pricing, and regulatory requirements for hardware distributors.
  • Comfortable working directly with tax authorities and auditors.
  • Strong technical US GAAP knowledge.
  • Strong business acumen, leadership, communication, organization, and technology skills.
  • Experience in supporting global organizations across multiple time zones.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
