Job Description:

The role of Application System Specialist is to support the efficient operation of healthcare systems and applications. This involves analyzing and implementing solutions based on operational workflow needs, developing technical solutions to business problems, and troubleshooting application performance and technical issues.

This position requires a strong understanding of computers, patient care information systems, and business systems. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively as a member of a team.

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring, tracking, and documenting system utilization and effectiveness. You will also participate in pre- and post-implementation metrics gathering to ensure that the system is delivering expected outcomes.

Additionally, you will perform software testing and document compliance with system and industry standards. A working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning software and comprehension of the integration of ancillary applications and their associated functionality are essential for success in this role.

As an entry-level position, the Application System Specialist plays a critical role in determining workflows and system capabilities to ensure effective outcomes. This position supports operations and ETS in various functional areas, including business, clinical, and revenue cycle operations.
