The Business Development Director plays a pivotal role in driving the company's market position and achieving business outcomes through strategic initiatives and planning.
- Contribute to strategic planning by analyzing market conditions and identifying opportunities for growth, further strengthening our competitive edge.
- Sell value-added services using local affiliates' business structure as a key strength.
- Develop and maintain key client relationships to expand new business opportunities and prospect for new clients.
- Lead the development of visit plans for assigned clients and areas of responsibility.
- Promote value-added services and products to peers and teams outside your core responsibility.
- Work with organizational teams to develop capture strategies, proposals, and pricing as appropriate, enhancing collaboration and synergy.
- Collaborate with technical staff and internal teams to meet customer needs effectively.
- Provide strategic insight on future business initiatives, market drivers, and competitor activities, fostering informed decision-making.
- Identify opportunities for marketing campaigns that lead to increased sales, optimizing ROI.
- Submit reports as needed and ensure data is accurately entered and managed within the company's CRM system.
- Forecast sales targets and track activity on accounts to meet these targets efficiently.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
- 5 or more years of experience in the industry is preferred.
- Business experience in the manufacturing and/or technical service industry is essential.
Desirable Skills and Abilities:
- Self-motivated professional with a track record of sales leadership and team management.
- High energy professional with a commitment to succeed in sales and business development.
- Facile with computers and management systems, leveraging technology for productivity.
- Excellent communicator with customers and the sales team, building strong relationships.
- Ability to develop a working knowledge of relevant rules, guides, statutory regulations, and related instructions.
