Job Overview

A strategic role is available for a Senior BI Engineer to support business growth by leveraging data analytics and visualization. The ideal candidate will have expertise in building and managing large datasets, developing statistical forecasting models, and implementing self-service BI solutions.

The successful Senior BI Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business problems, analyze data, and define success criteria. They will be responsible for designing and implementing semantic models, integrating Power BI with other data sources, and optimizing solutions for performance and scalability.

The role requires strong collaboration skills, with the ability to gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into technical specifications. The Senior BI Engineer will also be responsible for ensuring data accuracy and integrity across all reports and dashboards, as well as providing training and support to end-users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze business problems and define success criteria
  • Work with engineering and architecture teams to design and implement data solutions
  • Build visualizations based on target audience needs
  • Architect and implement semantic models for self-service BI
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all reports and dashboards
  • Optimize Power BI solutions for performance and scalability
  • Provide training and support to end-users for self-service BI capabilities
  • Integrate Power BI with other data sources and systems
  • Conduct regular reviews and updates of BI solutions to align with business needs
  • Develop proof-of-concept projects to demonstrate new capabilities and solutions
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and share knowledge with the team
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power BI solutions
