The Supply Operations Manager – Surge Operations role is responsible for collaborating with product and business intelligence teams to define surge eligibility rules, thresholds, and automation opportunities.
- IDentify edge cases and problem patterns across markets (e.g., Rainy days, local festivals) and work on systematic response models.
- Benchmark industry practices and propose improvements to current surge framework.
- Liaise with regional and city leads to gather operational feedback and translate that into product requirements.
- Document SOPs and build dashboards/tools that track surge effectiveness and fleet responsiveness over time.
This position requires a strong analytical and systems thinking skills, and comfort with data dashboards, basic product flows. The ideal candidate has 35 years of experience in supply/ops strategy, product ops, or logistics planning (food delivery, ride-hailing, Q-commerce preferred).
Key performance indicators include:
- Surge logic implementation efficiency
- Automated response optimization rate
- Regional and city lead engagement level
- Surge effectiveness metrics accuracy
A successful Supply Operations Manager will be able to analyze complex problems, develop creative solutions, and implement them efficiently.
