Job Title: Senior Application Security Engineer

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Senior Application Security Engineer.

This key role plays a lead part in designing and developing application-level security controls and standards. It entails performing thorough application security design reviews against new products and services, tracking and prioritizing all security issues, and crafting internal security tools that help resolve security problems efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement application-level security controls and standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive application security design reviews against new products and services.
  • Track and prioritize all security issues.
  • Develop internal security tools that facilitate the resolution of security problems at scale.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Strong foundations in software engineering principles.
  • A minimum of 7 years of technical experience with any combination of the following: threat modeling expertise, secure coding practices, identity management and authentication, software development methodologies, cryptography techniques, system administration, and network security protocols.
  • A minimum 2 years of experience working within the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) in one or more programming languages (e.g., Rust, Python, Go, Node.js).
  • A minimum 1 year of experience working with public and private cloud environments (e.g., OpenShift, Rancher, K8s, AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Experience running assessments using OWASP MASVS and ASVS guidelines.
  • Proficiency in identifying and addressing application vulnerabilities.
  • Strong background in threat modeling and analysis.
  • In-depth knowledge of common web application vulnerabilities (i.e., OWASP Top 10).
  • Familiarity with automated dynamic scanners, fuzzers, and proxy tools.
