Linux Technical Support Professional

About the Role

This position offers the opportunity to work with a globally distributed collaboration platform and contribute to the development of innovative technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support for customers leveraging Ubuntu and open source products
  • Work with a team of engineers to solve complex technical problems and improve customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and maintain knowledge base articles and technical notices
  • Participate in regular weekend working rotations and contribute to the growth and evolution of Canonical's products and services
Requirements
  • Exceptional academic track record from high school and university
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical subject or equivalent experience
  • Confidence to speak up and share ideas without hesitation
  • Track record of going above-and-beyond expectations to achieve outstanding results
  • Experience with Linux troubleshooting, server administration, programming fundamentals, and networking concepts
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge or basic hands-on experience with Linux kernel crashes, OS configuration issues, and root cause analysis
  • Ability to learn quickly and thrive on change
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
