A Logistics Operations Specialist is required to maintain and enhance logistics operations, ensuring compliance with standards and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics & 3PL operations, with a passion for driving continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and enhance logistics operations with third-party warehouses and other stakeholders.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), ensure compliance, conduct audits, provide internal customer service, and lead process improvement and cost savings projects.
- Promote logistics support for marketing and promotional activities.
- Ensure that third-party warehouses have all promotional details and that inventory is in place at all distribution centers before promotions.
- Escalate operational related issues to leadership prior to promotions to limit costs and complaint issues.
- Lead safety and quality compliance within third-party logistics operations, ensuring working environments are up to standard.
- Ensure that all safety-related issues are root-caused, resolved, and escalated to the appropriate parties.
- Ensure that third-party distribution centers are prepared and excel in all compliance-related audits.
- Lead all internal audit preparation and answer audit questions.
- Participate in weekly and monthly operational reviews at a national level as a NCE participant.
- Participate in the annual 3PL Operations Master Plan.
- Review high-priority issues, implement actions, and sustain resolutions.
- Participate in Gemba, LER, and other process improvement activities as a project leader.
- Oversee daily order fulfillment backlogs and determine when distribution centers need to be shut off due to backlog.
- Lead logistics consumer complaints process and resolution for B2C and trade.
- Facilitate weekly and monthly complaint reviews with key stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, finance, supply chain management, business administration or equivalent. At least three years of experience in supply chain, manufacturing/distribution/warehouse operations, inventory control, or physical logistics is preferred. Professional experience in logistics/EDI/stock reconciliation and dealing with third-party warehousing is also desired.
