About This Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Public Policy Manager and contribute to the development of innovative policies that promote sustainable food systems. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for advocating for plant-based food options and working with government officials, policymakers, and stakeholders to advance our mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Policy Development: Contribute to the development of policy briefs, reports, and other materials that support advocacy efforts.
  • Campaign Management: Lead the coordination of public-facing campaigns to promote food system change and enhance the position of plant-based foods.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain effective relationships with external stakeholders, including government departments, agencies, private sector organizations, and NGOs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Experience in Advocacy: Minimum 3 years of experience in advocacy, political engagement, and/or multilateralism.
  • Knowledge of UN Programmes: Understanding of UN programmes and agendas, including UNFCCC, UNEP, FAO, and SDGs.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in verbal and written Portuguese and English language skills.
  • Travel Requirements: Availability to travel for work, nationally and internationally.
