Senior Tax Specialist

We are seeking a Senior Tax Specialist to join our Finance team in Brazil.
This role involves overseeing the compliance process for both Direct and Indirect taxes, ensuring timely and accurate filing. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in general tax matters, excellent analytical and critical thinking skills, and be able to analyze Brazil's indirect tax credits.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Coordinating tax compliance activities to ensure adherence to deadlines and internal controls;
- Developing transfer pricing documentation and managing intercompany and cross-border reconciliations;
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of changes in tax legislation and conducting risk assessments;
- Leading initiatives related to VAT tax reform and collaborating with internal teams to assess current practices and recommend improvements;
- Assisting the tax controversy team with tax audits and discussing technical issues with tax auditors;
- Identifying and implementing improvements/automation related to internal controls processes, including tax compliance processes and risk mitigation;
- Analyzing and implementing tax benefits related to incentive laws;
- Promoting awareness of indirect and direct taxes within the BR territory;
- Addressing basic tax questions and reviewing contractual relationships that impact the tax area.
