Main Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of RITA UARC research initiatives, aligning them with the strategic objectives of key stakeholders.
  • Foster innovation in AI/ML research, ensuring high-impact projects and maintaining a leading position in technological advancements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and contractual obligations, overseeing administrative and financial operations.
  • Provide guidance and strategic vision with consortium members to develop compelling research proposals.
  • Oversee laboratory budgets, projects, and resources, driving efficiency and productivity.
  • Mentor and develop laboratory personnel and leadership, promoting excellence and innovation.
  • Cultivate relationships with sponsors, lab personnel, and key stakeholders, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Establish and maintain a research leadership team that embodies integrity, diversity, and innovation.
  • Determine long-range research directions in collaboration with the research leadership team.
  • Identify and develop research staffing requirements, providing interviewing, hiring, and training services.
