In addition, you have:

  • A strong interest in global raw materials processes, with experience interfacing with R&D, procurement, supply chain, recycling, operations, and technical marketing teams
  • A desire to gain knowledge of the business, products, raw materials, and company systems
  • An academic degree in engineering (materials, chemical, metallurgical)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent English language skills for written and oral communication, with additional languages considered an asset
  • A team-oriented mindset with strong interpersonal skills
  • A solid ability to build relationships across the organization
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities for unstructured and complex projects

About the job:

As a seasoned raw material process professional, you will be part of the team responsible for managing raw material cost initiatives in R&D, focusing on cost savings, second source qualification, and portfolio management.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Managing the raw material cost savings portfolio of over 100 projects annually
  2. Developing and executing yearly project plans, resulting in annual savings exceeding 10 million euros
  3. Oversight of a total scope of 1 billion euros of raw material spend within the company
  4. Strategic alignment with key stakeholders regarding cost efficiency, network optimization, supply disruption risk mitigation, and recycling initiatives
  5. Effective management of interfaces with R&D, procurement, supply chain management, recycling, operations, and sales teams
  6. Reporting on monthly raw material management meetings involving R&D, procurement, and SCM leaders
  7. Leading special projects in raw materials, such as single source mitigation and raw material harmonization across product groups
