Subsea Mechanical Engineer Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Subsea Mechanical Engineer to join our global team.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented engineer to develop designs of subsea mechanical/clamp and hydraulic connectors, collaborating with internal colleagues and external partners.

The successful candidate will be responsible for arranging design reviews, providing applicable documentation on manufacturing, assembly, testing, and installation of designed items.

A key aspect of this role is to have in-depth knowledge of design methodologies and practices of subsea components, with a specific focus on connectors.

You will also need to know and commonly apply main industry standards for subsea oil & gas industry, including ISO, API, ASME, NACE, DNVGL, NORSOK, EUROCODE.

  • Develop designs of subsea mechanical/clamp and hydraulic connectors, in line with applicable international industry standards.
  • Arrange design reviews, providing applicable documentation on manufacturing, assembly, testing, and installation of designed items.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of design methodologies and practices of subsea components with specific focus on connectors.
  • Know and commonly apply main industry standards for subsea oil & gas industry.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Msc or Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
  • Proficiency in communicating with customers in both Portuguese and English language.
  • Experience within the oil & gas industry, preferably with direct exposure to subsea equipment. Emphasis required on pre-salt and deepwater systems.
  • Experience with Teamcenter, CREO, Office suite is desired, but not mandatory.
  • Expertise developed on design of subsea connection systems.
  • Able to work autonomously and comfortably within a global multicultural environment, with open and inclusive mindset.
  • Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team player attitude and inclusiveness, combined with good communication skills.
