Job Title: SUBSEA CONNECTION ENGINEER

Job Description:

A Subsea Connection Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring timely delivery of subsea connection systems. This position requires collaboration with multiple teams, utilizing innovative physical and digital solutions to increase efficiency, production, and maximize reservoir value.

This engineer will be part of the Global Manifold, Distribution & Connection (MDC) Systems Engineering & Technology group, dedicated to designing various subsea equipment, including manifolds and distribution systems, focusing on connections and their relevant equipment.

  • Developing designs of subsea mechanical/clamp and hydraulic connectors in line with industry standards
  • Arranging design reviews and providing applicable documentation for manufacturing, assembly, testing, and installation
  • Knowledge of design methodologies and practices of subsea components with a specific focus on connectors
  • Knowledge and application of main industry standards for subsea oil & gas industry, including ISO, API, ASME, NACE, DNVGL, NORSOK, EUROCODE
  • Preparing and managing engineering tasks for releasing engineering parts, drawings, and documentation
  • Partnering with peers and other functions to meet overall Company's goals in terms of quality, budget consumption, and timely delivery
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Proficiency in communicating with customers in both Portuguese and English language
  • Experience within the oil & gas industry, preferably with direct exposure to subsea equipment, particularly pre-salt and deepwater systems
  • Experience with Teamcenter, CREO, Office suite is desired but not mandatory
  • Expertise developed on design of subsea connection systems
  • Ability to work autonomously and comfortably within a global multicultural environment, with an open and inclusive mindset
