Accurate Cost Specialist

This is a critical position that involves independent judgment, initiative, and creativity in managing multiple estimates to identify accurate cost projections.
- Mastery of comprehensive manufacturing processes is essential. An understanding of regional differences in manufacturing processes and assumptions is beneficial.
- Collaboration with the internal purchasing team is required to provide competitive component costs.
- Affordable travel to supplier facilities may be necessary for enhanced costing collaboration.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or a related field.
- Relevant experience in automotive cost estimating, manufacturing, product design, or purchasing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, particularly MS Excel, and familiarity with internal cost estimating software.
- Fluency in English language.
- Extensive knowledge of exterior manufacturing processes, including plastic molding, painting, carbon fiber, SMC, small stampings, glass, lighting, and general assembly.
- Understanding of labor, burden, material, and commercial factors, as well as profit.
- Ability to evaluate technical concepts and comprehend production processes.
- Development of quotes for OEMs.
- Manufacturing or launch experience in an automotive setting.
- Familiarity with industry trends and new technologies.
