The RoleThis position is part of the Global Data Privacy team, driving initiatives for global privacy transformation. As a regional data protection officer, you will establish local privacy standards, provide proactive support, and collaborate with other team members to manage local initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the development of policies and strategic direction on privacy matters across the region.
- Perform statutory tasks, ensuring alignment with the global privacy framework and business objectives.
- Report on data privacy strategy, progress, risks, and issues in local markets within the region.
- Collaborate with managers and privacy champions to tailor the data privacy and security framework to local laws and embed it into local markets using local resources.
- Initiate, facilitate, and promote activities to foster data privacy awareness throughout the business, including implementing privacy by design.
- Draft and implement required policies, processes, guidance, training, and communication in compliance with existing and evolving legislation.
- Lead integration support for new markets and acquisitions in the region.
- Support existing business and systems' compliance against the privacy framework.
