Senior Leader in Card Processing

This role involves leading the technical strategy and architecture for card processing. The ideal candidate will have experience in API-first environments, preferably in payments or a similar regulated space.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and lead engineering strategy for card rails
  • Set technical direction to ensure low latency, high resilience, and PCI-DSS compliance
  • Architect a future-proof cloud-native platform with event-driven services and real-time data pipelines
  • Champion innovation across tokenization, network tokens, intelligent retries, and SCA orchestration
  • Deliver engineering excellence by driving continuous delivery and DevOps practices
  • Lead and scale a high-performing team through hiring, coaching, and retaining top talent
  • Act as mentor and sponsor to help engineers grow and fulfill their potential
  • Ensure security and compliance by working with Risk, Legal, and Partnerships teams
Requirements:
  • Proven record of leading engineering teams in an API-first environment
  • Mastery of cloud-native, microservice architectures (Java, Springboot, AWS)
  • Strong grounding in CI/CD, security best practices, and observability
  • Fluency in English and Portuguese, clear and candid communication across cultures
  • Understanding of PSP economics, LatAm acquiring nuances, and global compliance drivers is a plus
