Job Summary:

Backup Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Backup Specialist to join our team. As a Backup Specialist, you will be responsible for providing 24x7 technical support for issues raised by customers and systems across a broad scope of Hybrid Cloud environments.

  • You will work on our Managed Hosted Commvault service, providing a key level of support to ensure customer business remains stable.
  • Using your experience and sound technical knowledge of Commvault, you will provide solutions to incidents and complete requests.

Requirements:

Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Associate experience working with Commvault or other Enterprise Class Backup products.
  • Able to understand core IT Infrastructure, including TCP Networking, DNS, Storage, and Virtualisation.
  • Experience managing and configuring server backup policies, schedules, and retention plans.
  • Proven ability to engage with customers to conduct requirements analysis, create customer-specific designs, and remotely assist with customer deployment as required.
  • Ability to create basic scripts in at least one of the following: Python, BASH, Powershell.
  • Experience working in Operating Systems: Windows, Linux.
  • Experience working on ticket-based systems: ServiceNow.
