Job Description

The Wind Turbine Maintenance Technician will perform a variety of tasks including:

  • Carrying out routine maintenance checks on wind turbines
  • Identifying and diagnosing technical faults with wind turbine equipment
  • Performing repairs and replacements of faulty components
  • Ensuring all work is carried out in accordance with safety procedures and protocols
Required Skills & Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must have:

  • A strong background in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Previous experience working at heights and in confined spaces
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to Vestas' quality and safety standards
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance tasks
  • Monitor WTG performance and report any issues
  • Collect data for research purposes

Qualifications:

  • Technical education in mechanics, electricity or mechatronics
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in similar roles
  • Ability to read and understand basic designs and schematics
  • Willingness to work at heights and in challenging weather conditions

Competencies:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data collection software
  • Fluency in English (advanced level)
  • CREA valid certificate
  • Valid driver's license
