Senior Process Engineer / Glyphosate Production

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Senior Process Engineer plays a crucial role in providing expertise in process chemistry, safety protocols, environmental standards, product quality, and engineering practices, with a strong focus on achieving medium to long-term objectives in the Glyphosate production sector.

This position involves direct collaboration with production engineers to address complex technical challenges and manage projects that enhance teamwork and knowledge sharing. The role is pivotal in analyzing and anticipating potential vulnerabilities in processes that could affect operational reliability, efficiency, safety, and quality. The individual will serve as the technical authority for the Glyphosate production area.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct process studies and identify areas for operational and process enhancements;
  • Monitor and evaluate key process metrics using statistical methodologies and define necessary troubleshooting actions;
  • Lead optimization, investment, and capacity expansion initiatives;
  • Analyze and support investigations into process safety incidents;
  • Oversee the approval and qualification of new suppliers;
  • Actively engage in global optimization networks;
  • Propose and implement improvements in process control and automation;
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and adherence to technical product specifications and corporate standards;
  • Support and engage in Process Safety Management (PSM), Process Management Framework (PMF), and audits.

ARE YOU QUALIFIED FOR THIS ROLE?

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Production, or Biochemical Engineering;
  • Proficient in English;
  • Extensive experience in production or engineering roles;
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Operational Excellence methodologies;
  • Statistical analysis skills (Black or Green Belt Certification preferred);
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities;
  • Proficient in stakeholder management;
  • Ability to interact effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Intermediate proficiency in Spanish;
  • Experience in the Glyphosate production sector.
