Data Platform Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized professional to join our data operations team as a Data Platform Operations Specialist.
- The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Snowflake administration, RBAC, and Terraform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage user access and permissions across Snowflake, Fivetran, and other tools.
- Implement and maintain RBAC (Role-Based Access Control) in Snowflake.
- Optimize platform performance and cost.
- Coordinate with DevOps for AWS services and networking.
- Build infrastructure-as-code with Terraform.
- Monitor platform health and ensure observability practices.
- Contribute to data engineering projects during off-peak times.
- Create documentation and operational runbooks.
Required Experience & Skills:
- 3–5 years of experience in data platform operations.
- Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake administration and RBAC.
- Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Familiarity with AWS and cloud data architecture.
- Knowledge of data pipeline tools and orchestration.
- Basic SQL and Python for automation.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to improve processes.
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration.
Technical Environment:
- Platforms: Snowflake, AWS, Terraform.
- Data Tools: Looker, DBT, Airflow.
- Monitoring: Elementary, Slack.
- DevOps/Documentation: GitHub Actions, Jira, Confluence.
