Job Overview

As a Full Case Order Selector, you will be responsible for selecting full-case grocery, frozen, and/or perishable products from warehouse pick slots using a pallet jack or other equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure accuracy of work and adherence to production and safety standards
  2. Utilize necessary pick sheet or technology (e.g. voice, scanner) to select product
  3. Operate double walkie-rider or pallet jack to remove case(s) of product from storage rack and place on pallet
  4. Move pallet on an electric pallet jack or walkie-rider until full or order is complete, then transport pallets to shipping dock for delivery to retail stores
  5. Use proper wrapping techniques to ensure safety of product and inform supervisor of any differences in case quantity and/or description
  6. Write store number on pallets (if applicable)
  7. Use battery hoist and change battery, if necessary
  8. Keep work area clean
  9. Complete equipment inspection form
  10. Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Physical Demands
  • Continually standing, bending, pulling, lifting, pivoting up to 90% of shift
  • Walking between 6-12 miles per day on various surfaces including concrete, tile, carpet
  • Frequently lifting 1-60 lbs or more; frequent lifting from floor to overhead
  • Possibility of working on multiple levels of varying height
  • Safe handling of sharp objects including box cutting tools
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • 0-2 years of relevant experience
  • General Equivalency Diploma or High School Diploma
  • Ability to operate pallet jack and other required material handling equipment (MHE); comply with all company policies and procedures
  • Demonstrates commitment to safety and reliability; ability to maintain required productivity/work expectations
